VERY VERY Sorry
Computer crash! Multiple times! I am still without my PC. This is the third or fourth go-round (ka-ching!). I will blog as soon as I am back up. I did make it home from NY but have been unable to post w/o access. Can’t get to Blogger from work and can’t always borrow a laptop. Sorry — more soon, I hope. Love from the ethernet…

Agent Orange
So how did it go, you may be wondering…it went well enough. I was expecting her to fall down and kiss my feet for all my wonderfulness. And that didn’t happen. (Well, who can blame me…? A girl can hope.) But we had a nice chat, she’s funny and smart (my fave combination) and very interested in seeing “the whole package.” She took my novel, copies of RHR, the Sun, the Monthly, etc, to look over and said as soon as I can finish a revision of the memoir and final wacky (unwritten) chapter-thingie, to send it to her as one package and she’ll look them over and we’ll decide…

Um, what else…
Lots going on, just not much time to blog it. Roamed the city yesterday, up and down Fifth Ave, and bought a wedding dress (woo hoo!) for me. Gorgeous champagne satin, kind of mermaid-like shape, front flare and ruffle, very fitted and sleeveless, just perfect. And reasonaby priced, which means the shoes can break the bank…Next: Mia’s dress — my maid-of-honor. And chatted with the agent, my lovely, with whom I’ve had e-mail-voicemail-missed connections. Instead of a mtg late yesterday, we’re on for lunch tomorrow. It will be raining and/or snowing so I may not look as gorgeous as I’d like (ha) but it’s my mind they’re after. (Keep telling…

Wind Tunnels…
A quick post from the road — may not have time for spell-check so forgive the typos: 30 minutes of Internet = $5. We’re waiting for Mia to finish classes so we can wander the Island some more. Our exodus from Jersey was more eventful than planned: got to Philly and onto the bus in the nick of time again (thanks, Amanda!). Jumped aboard, took seats, and took off. Within a few minutes the exhaust-smoke smell was overwhelming. Guys behind me commenting about it, guy in front of me asking do i smell gasoline? I figured it was a cheap old but, we’d have to choke it out. But 10minutes…

Jersey Blues
Not really “blue,” except my fingers, just traveling. Brrrr. It’s hecka cold out here — some 20 degrees colder then NY, where it was merely chilly. It was 40 there, gotta be 20 here. Snow flurries over and over yesterday and threatening today. Cold fingers….my *favorite* thing! Good thing I packed layers. Flight here was fine, just seemed endless. In Long Beach we had to deplane on the tarmac; I’ve never done that before, felt like a 1940s movie star. Warmish with palm trees and the art-deco style of the airport, felt kinda glam. Then endlessly onto NY’s JFK, where we grabbed bags, got into the queue and grabbed a…
